System logic before screen polish.
The details change from product to product, but the pattern is consistent: understand the system, make the product logic explicit, then turn it into something people and teams can test.
Frame the system
Map the users, goals, rules, states, data, dependencies and unknowns that shape the experience.
Define the logic
Turn ambiguity into information architecture, flows, interaction rules, edge cases, safeguards and clear release boundaries.
Make it testable
Prototype the decisions that matter, validate them with users and stakeholders, then refine the work with product and engineering and stay involved through implementation.
